These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of Chess Advanced Trader (the “App”), including the mobile apps and the web version. By installing, opening or playing the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the App with the involvement of a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.

We may reset a rating, suspend or permanently terminate an account that breaches this section, without notice where the breach is serious.
The mobile App is supported by advertising provided through Google AdMob. Some optional features — such as a hint or a deeper post-game analysis — can be unlocked by choosing to watch a rewarded advertisement. Rewards are a convenience feature only: they have no monetary value, cannot be purchased, sold, transferred or exchanged for anything of value, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time. Advertisements are served by a third party, and we are not responsible for the content of, or any dealings you have with, the advertisers shown.
The App, including its rules, board, interface, artwork, text and code, is owned by the developer and protected by copyright, except for third-party components licensed separately. The App bundles open-source software and assets — including the Governor piece set from the Lichess project, which is used under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. Full attributions and licences are listed in the App under Settings → Legal & Credits, and those licences prevail over these Terms for the components they cover.
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may not sell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the App or its assets.
The App and its online services are provided on a best-efforts basis. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features, game modes, ratings, or the online service entirely, at any time. We may also update these Terms; the revised version will be posted here with a new “last updated” date, and continuing to use the App after that constitutes acceptance. Online play requires a working internet connection, which is your responsibility to provide.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of data loss, or that match results, ratings or analysis will always be accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, ratings, progress, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account from within it. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Sections 5, 7, 8 and 10 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
Nothing in this section removes any mandatory consumer-protection right you have under the laws of the country or state in which you live, where those rights cannot lawfully be waived.
